Recent Cases:

B.J. v. R.S.B., 2022 BCSC 2135 – successfully defended an application by a mother seeking to limit the father’s parenting time with the children to 4 days per month. The mother sought orders to have sole parenting responsibilities, primary care, a police apprehension order (to remove the children from the father’s care), and to have Christmas Eve and Christmas Day taken away from the father, etc. Court agreed with Kiran and the father was granted equal parenting time (week on/week off), equal share of all responsibilities, no police apprehension clause and he was granted parenting time for Christmas eve and Christmas Day.

J.D.C.M v B.M.M., 2022 BCSC (unreported) – successfully had two young children returned to the care of the mother after the father moved from the lower mainland to Vancouver Island without advising the mother. The parties had equal parenting time up until the father’s move, and after a court hearing the father’s parenting time was limited to weekends only and he was responsible for all travel for parenting time and travel costs.

G.S.B v K.M., 2022 BCSC (unreported) – Kiran successfully defended an application by a mother to reduce the father’s parenting time to weekends. Father was granted equal parenting time of the children.

J.D.C.M. v B.M.M., 2022 BCSC – the father sought to have the court proceedings moved to Vancouver Island where he had moved to. Kiran successfully defended the father’s application and had the proceedings consolidated into the Lower Mainland where her client, the mother, resided.
